2 – SIMPLE PAST TENSE

In the Simple Past Tense, the action is simply mentioned and understood to have taken place in the past. The action started and ended same time in the past but the time may or may not be mentioned.

We use the Simple Past Tense to express a completed action in the past, it means the action happened and completely finished in the past. And it is usually used with real time expression.
